The night was quiet, the streets still, the people missing. Usually when he was out like this, he was stalking some defenceless Pokemon Trainer- ready to steal their Pokemon before they could even scream- or a scientist with a long list of important documents. However, the streets of this city lacked Pokemon at all, nor did they have anything worth stealing. It was all in all, a worthless place, but that was fine since Wes also lacked Pokemon and purpose.
Wes couldn't register he missed his snarky Espeon or his happy-go-lucky Umbreon, but he did feel rather hollow without his partners who spoke on his behalf. It had been a long time since he had to talk to someone on his own.
Not that he couldn't, but it was difficult for the man. Forming speech was a lot harder than balling a mechanical fist and punching someone's lights out.
But... he was lost. Without Team Cipher directing him, or the lack of desert, Wes wasn't sure where he was. The next person to come along... he'd follow them. Then he would... talk.
Then Wes was in luck, a brown-haired teen wearing a cap and blue jacket happening to passing by. The belt of Pokeballs made it obvious that he was a trainer.
The stranger wouldn't know that this was none other than Touya, the champion of this region.
There was a target, walking around, clear as day despite the overcast moon above and the shadows from the lurking trees. Since his Pokemon were with Doc- or so he hoped- he was on his own. Wes didn't mind though. He was strong: this was what he was made to do, after all. Even without a mission, he was required by his programming to search out strong trainers and take what belonged to Team Cipher.
However, Wes was calm and he could think clearly and rationally. Now was not the time to strike. He needed to get orientated, and take what he had to only after he was sure he had the advantage. So, with grace and speed, Wes silently approached Touya, practically appearing from nowhere. He then grabbed Touya and squeezed him a touch too hard.
"Excuse me," Wes muttered, his voice quiet from a lack of use, yet sounding like he was nearly growling, "... I'm... Lost..."
"Lost?" he parroted, while trying to politely pull his arm from the man's uncomfortable grip.
"Well sure, I can help you with that." Touya smiled, but something about this was already rubbing him the wrong way. Probably should've kept one of his Pokemon out... "Where we are right now is Opelucid City."
Wes didn't notice or care that Touya was trying to pull away, and his mechanical hand ket its locking grip on the poor boy. However, the man did tilt his head, face still stoic but body gesturing a touch of confusion.
"Opelucid?" Wes frowned. Where was that? Was he dropped here for a mission of some kind? Did Ardos mention the city name to him before?
... It's 'Master Ardos' he corrected his own head.
"What are you doing?" Wes asked, as if that would answer his own question.
"Haha, yeah.... What happened? Lost your map of Unova too?" Something still feels weird, but he'd definitely be a lot more at ease if he had his arm back.
"And I was kind of wondering if you were planning on letting me go now, since you have my attention already." The stranger has a strong grip, that's for sure. It feels like if he squeezed any harder, it would start to hurt. But there's no way that would happen either right?
"I'm Touya by the way. You might've heard of me with how news spreads around here, but it's cool if you haven't. Any kind of break from the attention I get is good."
If it was a joke, Wes didn't find it funny. Instead, he just glared at Touya, as if he had said something extremely offensive. Thankfully, Touya called him out on his grip, and Wes let go, allowing the young man freedom with only minimal bruising.
"Touya... Peach tree and arrow..." Wes muttered, trying to get some understanding from the literal definition.
"I'm... very new." Why was he here anyway? He needed to get back to base. Lovrina would punish his Pokemon if he didn't, and somewhere deep down, Wes still cared for them, even with his rewrite.
"You came all the way from Orre?" Touya scratched his head, trying to recall it's place on the world map. And even then... something strange must be going on because the question really doesn't make any sense.
"I might've heard of that place, but not much. I just know that it's really far away from Unova."
"Yes... I did..." Wes muttered. He paused for a few moments, trying to make sense of things. So he was in Unova. A part of him distantly remembered it, but he couldn't see the cities or the places in his mind's eye, as if a dark fog had settled in his memory. He crossed his arms, drumming his fingers against his false arm, the echo of metal ringing out as he did so.

"I can't just drop everything and leave to some random far away region... I don't know where Orre is from here or who you are!"
Course, Touya could probably point him toward an airport or cruise ship. It's late enough out here that the guy might have to wait until the morning.

"... XD002. There." What a stunning and charming introduction. Clearly he is an eloquent speaker instead of an emotionally dead machine, right>
